T-Mobile revisiting its Android operations

T-Mobile USA has announced plans to improve the user experience on Android by implementing some carrier-specific changes.
Primarily, T-Mobile will be adding carrier billing to the Marketplace, allowing users to pay for applications and games as part of their monthly bill, much like mobile game sales have traditionally operated.
"We are making it very easy to purchase apps. Historically, research has shown that with carrier billing, theres a big uptick of 30 to 40 percent in app or content download," Director of Mobile Applications and Partner Programs Venetia Espinoza tells MocoNews."Weve been working very closely with Google over the last several months to integrate the Android Market with our internal billing gateway.
It'll also be launching what it's calling the T-Mobile Channel, which will be providing recommendations of new and popular Android content.
