As you're probably aware, PocketGamer.biz has a big brother site Pocket Gamer focused on consumer news and reviews of mobile games.

We're kickstarting a new weekly feature, where we list the week's reviews on PG. And it's been a particularly big one this week, with iPhone getting a clutch of big-hitters pre-Christmas, as well as Metal Gear Solid surfacing on N-Gage.

See below for some of the key reviews, followed by a list of others below that.

KEY REVIEWS

Rolando (ngmoco) iPhone

"The year's best iPhone game offers gameplay brimming with accessible controls, sophisticated design, and style an emblematic title for a rising platform." 10/10

Metal Gear Solid Mobile (Konami) N-Gage

"Gorgeous to look at and thoroughly gripping from start to finish, this is the game N-Gage has been crying out for." 9/10

DJ Mix Tour (Gameloft) - Mobile

"DJ Mix Tour hits all the right notes. It's Guitar Hero for those not that into guitars." 8/10

newtonica2 (Fieldsystem) - iPhone

"Retains the original's style and simplicity, resulting in the kind of puzzle title that stands out from the crowd with ease." 9/10

Call of Duty: World at War (Glu) - Mobile

"The unimaginative level design and ageing visuals are far removed from the standards the series should be setting." 6/10

I Love Katamari (Namco Bandai) - iPhone

"Sweet, sticky, and slow I Love Katamari has great presentation and fun gameplay, but it moves at an excruciating pace." 7/10

Ferrari GT Evolution HD (Gameloft) - Mobile

"Offers up thrills aplenty for anyone after a quick but testing ride just don't expect it to be quite as polished if you take it any further." 7/10

Fast and the Furious: Pink Slip (I-play) - iPhone

"The franchise and the cars are almost too boorish to stomach, but there's a great thrill-ride of a driving game hidden behind them." 7/10
