UK trade mission to Platform Doha game conference now signing up

As the gulf region looks to transfer its natural resource wealth into a knowledge-based economy, so it's waking up to the importance of games.

That's the thinking behind the Platform Doha conference and exhibition that's taking place in Qatar on 17 April 2013.

It's targeting companies who are looking to exhibit and sell games and game services in the region, as well as those looking for project funding.

And UK Trade & Investment has put together a trade mission for UK companies looking to get involved.

Flying out from Manchester on 15 April, the trip covers four nights, including a tour of Doha and a reception at the British Embassy in Qatar.

Companies who are looking to exhibit at the conference may be eligible for a £1,000 subsidy on the £4,100 cost, while conference visitors may be able to get £500 knocked off their £2,100 cost.
