Organisers behind Launch have revealed UK trade body UKIE is to host one of its games tax breaks seminars in Birmingham this July.

The seminar will look to consult with publishers and developers operating in the area for their take on the UK Government's forthcoming games industry tax break.

Feedback gathered will then be delivered to the UK Treasury at several events held to canvass industry opinion of which UKIE will be in attendance - during a 12 week period of consultation, ending 10 September.

Ready for launch?

"In March of this year, the government announced that it would be introducing a tax relief system for the UK’s video games industry," details Launch on its website.

"It's now up to the games industry to help shape what this system looks like.

"The tax breaks briefing session aims to make sure that all parts of the industry are informed about how tax breaks might operate and give you the chance to influence the way they will operate when introduced in 2013."

The seminar will be hosted at Birmingham Science Park the usual venue for Launch's range of conferences on 31 July, kicking off at 5.30pm.

Tickets, which can be picked up from Eventbrite, are free, with representatives from the likes of Sega, Dojit Games and UKIE itself all in attendance.

More details can be found on the Launch website.
