Video: How to grow your business as an indie developer

At Pocket Gamer Connects San Francisco 2015, Oscar Clark, an evangelist at Unity Technologies, led a panel on how to grow your business as an indie.

Joining him were:

• Fabien-Pierre Nicolas, VP of Marketing & Communications, App Annie;
• Ida Honkanen, Head of Marketing & Sales, Skindler, and
• Loki Ng, Co-Founder, OneSky

Seek outside help

Honkanen pointed out that small teams of indies can't be good at absolutely everything, so you should "focus on what you're good at, and then find freelancers", since this is easy to do thanks to the Internet.

Ng recommended that you "focus on your users" by listening to what they want from the game and building on that, as it ensures that users will be interested in your game.
