At Pocket Gamer Connects Helsinki 2016, Jani Kahrama, Founder of Secret Exit, gave a talk on how indies can thrive in the modern mobile business.

His talk focused more on the "hangover" to having a successful game, where an indie developer must start thinking more like a bigger developer and less like a bedroom programmer.

"Your company kind of grinds to a halt, because you were used to doing that thing you were doing, but suddenly the parameters shift," he said.

To get into the flow again, Kahrama recommends going "back to your core" – finding what it is that you love about making games and focusing on that.
