Warner Bros nabs Lord Of The Rings licence

Hollywood trade mag Variety is reporting that Electronic Arts's licence to make videogames based on Lord of the Rings has expired, leaving the rights back in the hands of studio New Line.
The same report claims that the licence will most likely now reside with Warner Bros, which handles New Line's business operations.
Variety's story is focused on console and PC games, but of course, EA Mobile made several LOTR mobile games under its licence.
There's no news yet on whether the mobile rights to the franchise also now reside with Warner Bros, and, if so, what that means for any future mobile or iPhone games based on Tolkien's fantasy series.
Then again, EA Mobile does still have the rights to make Harry Potter games, which is arguably the bigger movie franchise for now.
