Winners of ME Awards 2009 announced

The fourth annual ME Awards took place last night, recognising achievement, creativity and innovation in the mobile sector, with delegates in attendance from over 120 media, technology and entertainment companies from around the world.
The awards were split into development and publishing, services and handsets and operators categories, with Apple landing awards for both the iPhone (retained from last year's ceremony) and its App Store.
Special mention also went to CEO of Indian mobile company Hungama Mobile, Neeraj Roy (pictured), who picked up the Outstanding Contribution to Mobile Entertainment award for building India's biggest content company, and for his work in promoting the industry.
"The ME Awards event is a chance for the mobile content business to celebrate its amazing progress into the mainstream," says Mobile Entertainment magazine editor Tim Green. "And with the whole world obsessed with apps and widgets, it really feels like the industry is at the centre of things. Congratulations to all the winners.
Here's how the rest of the awards were distributed.
