UK firm Wrapstar has been making protective skins for PSP, DS and Wii for some time now, but the company has announced its expansion into iPhone and iPod touch.

Specifically, the firm wants games publishers to commission it to make iPhone and iPod touch skins based on their games. Bespoke corporate skins, they call it.

"With the arrival of the iPhone and iTouch as serious gaming devices, we’re expanding our remit to offer publishing clients the chance to make their brand stand out from the crowd by having bespoke promotional skins produced that can be used for various sales and marketing activities” says MD Max Haddow.

"With the big players such as Sega, Atari and Apple producing quality games that are set to position the i-series of devices as key gaming units, having title specific skins produced allows publishers an effective way to market to the core user".

The company's clients in the handheld space include Atari, Namco, Capcom and EA - all four of whom are active on iPhone, incidentally.
