This summer, Nintendo released four new StreetPass games for the 3DS in Japan and Europe.
Like the original StreetPass games built into the 3DS (Puzzle Swap and Find Mii), these games require players to carry their 3DS systems around and 'tag' other players through the magic of wireless communication.
Rewards for progressing in the games included artwork and vanity items for avatars like hats and shirts.
Unlike the original StreetPass games, though, the four new games were given a premium price - $4.99 a piece or $14.99 for the bundle.
And without any marketing, Nintendo has revealed that it's earned $4 million dollars in the first month.
While this figure is less than what GungHo's Puzzle & Dragons earns in a day, Nintendo's achievement is still significant - at least demonstrating there's a demand for such bite-sized content.
Nintendo released the sales figures shortly after it revealed that its social simulation game Animal Crossing: New Leaf had shipped over 5 million copies globally since its release in November 2012 for the 3DS.
