Chartboost makes China move with Chukong

Chukong Technologies and Chartboost have announced a strategic partnership to bring the latter's mobile monetisation platform to China.

Revealed in a briefing at the ChinaJoy 2014 conference in Shanghai, Chukong will provide its support to help Chartboost gain market share.

As well as being a publisher, the Beijing-based company has built up strong links with the local development community, thanks in part to its Cocos2d-x development engine.

Highlighting its interest in the region, Chartboost recently launched a Chinese language version of its website.

Its platform handles over 12 billions game sessions per month, enabling developers to generate advertising revenue and find new users.

Best of both worlds

"After using Chartboost's analytics for our titles in North America, we believe its technology is just what Chinese developers need," said Chukong's US GM Lei Zhang.

"The combination of Chartboost's tools and our local market expertise will provide a premier monetisation solution for the millions of China-based app developers."

Chartboost CEO Maria Alegre added, "This partnership is the first step in a larger, global strategy for Chartboost.

"Working together to Chukong, we can empower Chinese app developers to get the exposure and data they need in the fastest-growing mobile market in the world."
