Having started out life publishing western games such as Angry Birds and Plants Vs Zombies 2 into the Chinese market, Spellgun has reversed its direction.
The games division of art outsourcing studio Concept Art House has announced that it's been working to localise and culturalise Huorang Game's top 10 grossing card-strategy Three Kingdoms title Papa San Guo to the west, where it's been released as Clash of Gods.
The project involved revamping the game art, story and music.
Big changes
"We believe top grossing Chinese games won't work directly in the US without such a thorough treatment," commented Spellgun's VP of Operations Jason Park.
