Apple promises joined up thinking with launch day support for exciting indie games

Like a shadowy man on a shadowy planet, it's a subject we can't say too much about because we don't want to compromise our sources, but it seems that Apple is getting its act together when it comes to promoting key indie games.
One developer with a game in submission was told Apple UK and US will both be supporting it.
Indeed, Apple asked the developer in question to put back the planned release by a couple of days so it would coincide with the launch of Apple's promotion.
Power leveraged
It's a far cry compared to how Apple previously operated its featured app campaigns, which while much appreciated by developers in terms of the sales boost provided, were seldom pre-empted by official communication.
Another likely outworking of Apple's new editorial team, it's an attempt to provide a more coherent and timely environment for the discovery of games that otherwise might fall through the cracks of the competitive, ever churning and increasingly publisher dominated App Store.
