Archos expected to reveal Android tablet in June

We heard about Archos's plans to put together a media tablet powered by Google's Android platform back at the beginning of the year, and a press conference has now been called by the electronics manufacturer that many are suspecting will be the tablet's official announcement.
Rumoured specifications of the device include a 5" high res touchscreen, TV recording, HD video output, 500GB of solid state storage, and HSUPA data radio - all running through the Android OS.
Google's system hasn't set fire to the smartphone industry, but the gaming potential of a media tablet of this design is quite exciting. The powerful OMAP3440 processor would run rings around even the highest powered smartphone, and with high speed mobile data built into it, the possibilities of online gaming are certainly viable.
The press conference is scheduled for June 11th (that's going to be a busy, hardware packed month), so we'll bring you more news as we get it.
