Dungeon & Fighter Mobile surpasses $1.3bn in first year on Chinese App Store

Dungeon & Fighter Mobile has generated over $1.3 billion in its first year on the App Store in China.
Developed by Nexon, the title launched in South Korea in 2022 but its release in China was delayed - a result of unpredictable and heavy-handed government measures imposed upon the broader games market.
When the Chinese version finally launched on May 21st, 2024 through a publishing deal with Tencent, players flocked to the title and spent over $60m on iOS alone in its first week.
According to AppMagic estimates, the game went on to earn $319.1m on the App Store in its first 30 days, more than doubling Tencent flagship Honor of Kings’ $141.1m over that same period.
Dungeon & Fighter Mobile then rocketed to its first half-billion dollars within two months, officially bolstering franchise revenue by 162% during Nexon’s Q2 2024.

Filling the void left by Dungeon & Fighter: Spirit’s closure in China years after the fact, the Chinese version of Dungeon & Fighter Mobile ended 2024 at $1.1bn in App Store revenue. This made it the year’s most lucrative new mobile release - beating heavyweights like Pokémon TCG Pocket and Love & Deepspace.
Player spending has slowed dramatically from an early peak, however, with Apple users spending $233.9m in 2025 thus far. February 2025 was also Dungeon & Fighter Mobile’s worst month on the App Store yet, at $37.6m in gross player spending.
This was less than one-sixth of the game’s record $248.5m in June 2024.
Gross App Store earnings this February averaged $1.3m per day. By comparison, June 2024 saw a daily average of $8.3m.

Dungeon & Fighter Mobile’s record daily takeaway was $10m in App Store spending on May 26th, 2024, just days after release.
Despite falling earnings this year overall, Nexon still largely attributed 60% year-over-year growth in the franchise to the Chinese-version mobile game in Q1 of 2025. The publisher has also confirmed "solid progress" in its partnership with Tencent, assuring that one-year anniversary content is on the way.
