Epic Games submits Fortnite for App Store comeback after four-year ban

Epic Games has submitted Fortnite to Apple for review as it eyes return to the US App Store.
If the review process concludes successfully in Epic Games' favour, the game will be globally released on the App Store after a ban of over four years.
Epic Games submitted the app for review on May 9th and according to Apple's developer website, 90% of submissions are reviewed within 24 hours.
“We’ve submitted Fortnite to Apple for review so we can launch on the App Store in the US," Fortnite’s official X account posted.
The conflict between Apple and Epic Games began in 2020 when Epic enabled direct payments in Fortnite, bypassing Apple’s 30% fee, leading to Fortnite’s removal from the App Store and a subsequent lawsuit.
Earlier this month, a US court ruled in favour of Epic, forcing Apple to change its App Store rules to comply with the verdict.
User rewards
Epic said it'll reward players with a 20% cashback through Epic Rewards when they make purchases in Fortnite, Rocket League, and Fall Guys using Epic’s payment system on PC, iOS, Android, or the web.
The rewards can be used in Epic's games or on the Epic Games Store, and the cashback program is permanent.
Furthermore, Epic has increased the Epic Rewards from 5% to 20% for all purchases made on the Epic Games Store using Epic's payment system until August 31, including games from third-party developers.
