Games Workshop has partnered with mobile games publisher and investor Tilting Point and Scottish games developer Hunted Cow to create fantasy strategy game Warhammer: Chaos and Conquest.

The Warhammer title went into beta on the Google Play store in the Philippines yesterday and could see a global launch next year. The launch date will depend on how well the beta goes.

Warring tribes

Warhammer: Chaos and Conquest puts players in the role of a chaos lord and tasks them with constructing temples, summoning daemonic troops, conquering kingdoms, building an empire and ruling with Chaos Champions.

Players can dive in solo or join up with friends to form alliances to help conquer other people’s land.
“Warhammer provides an incredible world for a mobile strategy game, and we are very excited to see how players respond to Chaos & Conquest,” said Tilting Point president Samir El-Agili.

“We are excited and honoured to be working with Games Workshop, a company that holds a special place in the hearts of anyone who grew up playing games, and we are of course long-time fans of Hunted Cow, having worked together on Operation: New Earth."
