Gamescom LATAM 2026 opens submissions for BIG Festival Awards

- Free entry for indie developers, studios, collectives, and publishers worldwide until January 9, 2026.
- Seventeen award categories include Best Game, regional honours, and technical achievements.
- Festival attendees can vote for the Best Game: Popular Vote.
- Finalists selected by a committee, winners chosen by an international industry jury.
Gamescom LATAM 2026 has opened submissions for its BIG Festival games competition.
Independent developers, studios, collectives, and publishers worldwide can submit entries on the official website until January 9th 2026.
Submitted games will compete in 17 categories at the Gamescom LATAM BIG Festival Awards, including Best Game, Best Game: Brazil, Best Game: Latin America, and technical awards like Best Art, Best Narrative, and Best Gameplay.
Attendees can also vote for the Best Game: Popular Vote. Finalists are chosen by the Festival’s Selection Committee, with winners decided by an international jury of games industry leaders, and awards presented at Gamescom Latam.
Connecting with audiences
"Year after year, Gamescom LATAM BIG Festival has established itself as an important space not only for showcasing incredible games from around the world, but also for connecting with the audience," said Gamescom LATAM CEO Gustavo Steinberg.
“Last year, we received more than 950 games from 71 different countries, which shows the strength of this competition.
“That's why the opening of submissions and the massive participation of developers is always one of the most important points for us."
Gamescom LATAM 2025 drew 130,000 attendees, over 300 media outlets, and 40+ publishers, including Konami, Nintendo, and Epic Games, reaching 10 million people online.
