Unity names first independent board members

Unity has appointed its first ever independent board members as the technology company continues to expand.

They are Workday Chief Financial Officer Robynne Sisco, who has more than 30 years of experience working in corporate finance and accounting roles, and Affirm CEO Max Levchin, who has also previously held roles at Yelp and PayPal.

Experienced additions

“We are thrilled to welcome Max and Robynne to our Board of Directors - two accomplished business leaders with tremendous vision and expertise,” said Unity CEO John Riccitiello.

“Robynne is a financial leader with strong vision and Max is a business expert who’s helped guide some of the most intriguing companies in tech today. I'm confident their experiences will add great value to our Board, and look forward to benefiting from their strategic insight and counsel."

Unity claims that its engine is use by more than 50% of all new mobile games and nearly 70% of all augmented reality and virtual reality content, reaching nearly three billion devices around the world.

In May 2017 the company raised $400 million in funding from California-based private equity firm Silver Lake.
