Big Fish appoints 15 year industry veteran Jeff Karp as new managing director and president

Casual game developer Big Fish has taken aboard Jeff Karp as its new managing director and president.

Karp will oversee the continued production of the companies assorted franchises across the casual and casino genres.

Karp brings 15 years experience in the industry to the studio, with past executive positions at EA, Zynga and GSN Games among others.

His most recent position as CEO at Sports Illustrated Play saw him oversee youth sports platforms that supported more than 17 million monthly users.

Karp's appointment comes after Big Fish was acquired by Australian casino company Aristocrat Leisure for a hefty $990 million.
