Moonton Games' multiplayer strategy game Magic Chess: Go Go has surpassed 30 million downloads worldwide.

The latest title from the Mobile Legends developer launched globally on May 28th, 2025 after garnering more than 20 million pre-registrations.

To celebrate the milestone, Moonton offered all players free access to all two-star commanders.

Post-launch success

Moonton said MCGG was developed by the original team behind Mobile Legends: Bang Bang by reimagining the MLBB universe as a tactical PvP battler.

In MCGG, eight players compete in real-time strategy rounds to be the last one standing.

“We're blown away by the support we've received for MCGG since our global launch," said MCGG producer at Moonton Games Gao "Skyhook" Chong.

“Reaching 30 million downloads in only two weeks is testament to the passion of our community - thank you for helping us reach this milestone.

“We will continuously enhance the game experience with more content, features, and esports events; look forward to more information on the next season soon!”
