NetEase's Destiny: Rising hits 5 million pre-registrations ahead of August 28th global launch

NetEase Games' Destiny: Rising is set to launch on August 28th, 2025.
The upcoming free-to-play sci-fi RPG shooter is being developed by NetEase Games for mobile and is officially licensed by Bungie.
Pre-registration for the title commenced in May but has since garnered more than five million pre-registered players.
The developer will also offer in-game rewards to early registrants, with bonuses unlocked as total sign-ups reach milestones ranging from 500,000 to 10m.
A new experience
A closed beta test exclusive to Google Play also took place on May 29th in the US and Canada following an earlier closed alpha in November 2024, during which some players had the opportunity to test new weapons.

As the first mobile game in Bungie’s Destiny franchise, Destiny: Rising will see players adventure into the Red Sea Rift, uncover the Cabal's sinister plans and aim to break the curse haunting Veridia.
NetEase unveiled the game in October 2024 as a free-to-play title set in the Destiny universe, featuring a shared world, various game modes and a range of playable characters.
