New release roundup: Chronomon, Cornhole Hero, Witchy Workshop: Cozy Idle and more

While the deals and the stats of the gaming world are important, nothing would happen without the research, funding and, of course, development that goes into making a great game.
So here’s a collection of the most exciting new mobile games right now, the developers and publishers behind them, and why, exactly, they've made the cut.
Chronomon

Stone Golem Studios' Chronomon is a monster tamer, farming simulator and open-world RPG all in one. As a premium, cross-platform game with synched save support, the name of the game here is building relationships with townspeople and raising both plants and animals.
Even monsters are able to help out on the farm, or alternatively follow players around in pixel form on adventures through the nine towns presently in-game. As of launch, there are over 100 of these titular Chronomon creatures present, able to be caught, trained and battled.
Witchy Workshop: Cozy Idle

Relaxation is key in Witchy Workshop: Cozy Idle, where players inherit a witch’s old cottage and spruce it up into a haven for many magical creatures.
Developer Dead Rock Studio has included over 40 species to discover, ranging from sprightly garden veg to friendly ghosts, and during their stay in the cottage they might just get to work crafting materials towards potions, talismans and more.
Cornhole Hero

Another indie, Pixeljam’s Cornhole Hero is all about accuracy - throwing pixelated backs through a hole. This simple concept is reflected in Cornhole Hero’s retro graphics harkening back to the earliest days of video games, with a stick figure for a player character and a beep-based soundtrack to boot.
Tile Seeker

A tile-based adventure that puts those tiles centre-stage, EnsarEray’s Tile Seeker tasks players with navigating ancient lands and uncovering secrets to open up - you guessed it - even more tiles. Trials also include turn-based battles and mind-bending puzzles, which can be tackled at a player’s convenience with no internet required.
Bahamut and the Waqwaq Tree

An honourable mention this week, Starvania Studio has launched Bahamut and the Waqwaq Tree on PC, Nintendo Switch, and consoles coinciding with the PocketGamer MENA Awards ceremony. The title is inspired by Arabian mythologies and has been developed by a remote, multi-national team of 12 primarily based in Saudi Arabia.
