While the deals and the stats of the gaming world are important, nothing would happen without the research, funding and, of course, development that goes into making a great game.

After surpassing 10 million pre-registrations, NetEase Games’ sci-fi RPG Destiny: Rising has launched on mobile with plenty of game modes and a range of heroes to choose from.

Officially licenced by Bungie, this Destiny title is set in an alternate timeline with its narrative taking place in the post-Dark Age era. The mobile title can be played at up to 90 FPS on certain devices.

Hello, Mario!

Nintendo’s latest app allows fans to play with Mario - pulling his moustache, spinning him around and stretching his face.

Titled Hello, Mario!, the game is available on mobile and Switch with an emphasis on touch controls - so much so that the Switch version can only be played handheld.

Aimed at younger Nintendo fans, the game also sees players feed Mario Super Mushrooms, ink him with Bloopers and scare him with Cheep Cheeps.

Acecraft

Moonton's cartoony shoot ‘em up Acecraft is out now on mobile, testing players’ piloting skills as they dodge and counter projectiles and fly through five-minute battles.

Acecraft also features a co-op mode and plenty of bosses to take down together, alongside nostalgic cartoon characters like Tom and Jerry.

Pudgy Party

Mythical Games has teamed up with NFT brand Pudgy Penguins to create Pudgy Party, a mobile game combining casual party mechanics with blockchain elements.

Players can collect penguins with unique powers and personalities, dress them up in a range of tradeable outfits, and slide into multiplayer matches. NFT costumes can be traded on Mythical’s marketplace.

Lucky Adventure

Hybridcasual hit maker Rollic has launched its latest game Lucky Adventure on the App Store and Google Play, sending players out on a quest to vanquish terrible foes, build a mighty city and become a hero.

Stormborn Era

Sharks, ships and a Kraken await in Puzala’s Stormborn Era, currently in soft launch on Google Play in the Philippines. Waves of enemies surface over treacherous waters, but players can take them all on with the right vessel and cannonfire.

Hitman: World of Assassination
