While the deals and the stats of the gaming world are important, nothing would happen without the research, funding and, of course, development that goes into making a great game.

So here’s a collection of the most exciting new mobile games right now, the developers and publishers behind them, and why, exactly, they've made the cut.

Delta Force Mobile

yt

After scoring over 25 million pre-registrations, Delta Force Mobile has landed on iOS and Android with cross-progression support in tow. The mobile launch has coincided with a new season’s debut, Eclipse Vigil, introducing a more intense battle mode.

Of course, there’s also large-scale first-person shooting action, full vehicle piloting and 24v24 warfare across land, air and sea.

Once Human

yt

Another title turning to cross-play, NetEase Games and Starry Studio have brought post-apocalyptic survival game Once Human to mobile. After hitting over 30 million pre-registrations worldwide, the 2024 hit has broadened its supernatural presence with one-touch gathering, smart combat assistance and more.

Pandoland

yt

Pokémon developer Game Freak’s first-ever mobile exclusive Pandoland has crossed shores from Japan to the rest of the world. Bringing uncharted lands and nautical exploration in adventure RPG form, the title allows players to team up with as many as 400 friends as they search the high seas for treasure.

It’s been co-developed and published by fellow Japanese company WonderPlanet.

Chonky Town

yt

Finding eggs, hatching them, and raising a town full of Chubbs and Chonkys is the name of the game in Chonky Town. Developed by indie studio Enhydra Games, this title sees players explore and expand their in-game world while keeping their Chonkys’ affection high by petting them, cleaning them and more.

MageTrain

yt

Benjamin Dressler’s snake-like MageTrain is a fast-paced pixelated title with a twist. Rather than growing a snake to dangerously long lengths, MageTrain has players recruit and arrange a squad of heroes who form a long chain during battle, on a mission to form a magical, unstoppable conga line.

Darkest Days

yt

NHN has launched looter shooter Darkest Days on mobile. Set in an apocalyptic wasteland following a zombie outbreak, players can explore the open world, plowing through hordes of the undead and building their own sanctuary to keep the survivors safe. As well as single-player, the game offers multiplayer modes, including co-op and competitive action.
