Germany, Japan, and Russia play three times more casual games than any other market, claims Storm8

Storm8 has released an infographic detailing the gaming habits of its players from around the world.

The report studied 75 million of Storm8's players between the second half of 2015 and the first quarter of 2016. It found that players in Russia, Germany, and Japan play three times more casual games than other markets.

Under the radar

Storm8's players also clocked in 15% of their game time during the work week than at the weekend, which they refer to as "under-the-radar gaming" for bored workers.

This is particularly true for players in Japan and China, who are often found to be playing games during their daily commutes to work as they are more likely to use public transport.

Local holidays also pay a key part in playtime. Players tend not to spend time on its games during holidays such as New Year's Day.

China is an exception, however, as the playtime of Chinese players drops during the Chinese New Year instead.
