Sonic Forces: Speed Battle races past two million downloads a fortnight after launching

Sega HARDlight's Sonic Forces: Speed Battle has cleared two million downloads two weeks after it first launched.

The game was initially released on iOS on November 3rd 2017. It is now being released on Android, with early players on the platform receiving a booster pack of premium items for free.

Sonic Forces: Speed Battle has so far seen over 50 million races, which equates to around 25 races per player. It has yet to be released in Japan, South Korea, or China.

Plenty more to come

"We're thrilled to bring Sonic Forces: Speed Battle to the Google Play Store for Android users. The game has exceeded our expectations so far and we're ready to bring the fast-paced multiplayer action to an even wider audience," said Chris Southall, head of HARDlight.

"We have tons of great content updates in the pipeline and look forward to integrating features in the coming months that will make the game even more fun to play!"

Sega HARDlight has a history of scoring huge numbers of downloads with its games. Its second title, Sonic Dash, cleared 100 million downloads in June 2015 and has continued to grow since.
