Jam City’s Family Guy Another Freakin’ Mobile Game breaks $30 million in revenue

Jam City's match-three game Family Guy Another Freakin' Mobile Game has broken $30 million in revenue.

According to market intelligence firm Sensor Tower, the title reached the milestone roughly 15 months since launching in April of last year.

The match-three game has proven to be more popular in the West, with 76 per cent of revenue coming from the US. The second largest share comes from the UK with nine per cent.

Freakin’ out

Concerning revenue across both the US App Store and Google Play, Family Guy Another Freakin Mobile Game was ranked at number 161 for June.

The title is Jam City’s sixth highest earning app, with previous Family Guy title The Quest for Stuff coming in at number 10. That game was released back in April 2014.

As part of its ad campaign for Family Guy Another Freakin’ Mobile Game, Jam City tapped up actor and doughnut shop owner Danny Trejo.

In-game players were able to battle Trejo in a series of match-three duels while in the real world they snagged exclusive merchandise from Trejo's Coffee & Donuts, providing they could show that they had the game installed on their phone.

Alongside that Trejo also appeared in two TV ads to celebrate the 300th episode of the Family Guy TV show.
