Nokia prepares to re-enter the smartphone market

Finnish mobile phone giant Nokia has let its position as a technological leader slip in recent months, eclipsed by the likes of the iPhone, Blackberry and the new Palm Pre.
Now reports are suggesting its planning a comeback with three new touchscreen devices with new slide-out keyboard technology built in. One device is said to boast a 4.2 touchscreen and aims toward the new portable tablet tech weve been hearing about in hushed tones recently.
The mysterious Nautilus project has also resurfaced, which promises and ultra slim touchscreen with a sensor-driven, extending keyboard with dynamic keys that extend to make typing easier once the keyboard has been activated.
A new method of vibration technology is also believed to be included from Immersion, which provides a realistic haptic feedback on virtual keypad key presses.
The first of these new devices is to be rolled out over the next 12 months, with the Nautilus to follow the year after.
