SAG-AFTRA board approves tentative deal to end strikes

SAG-AFTRA’s national board has approved a tentative deal with the video game bargaining group on a new Interactive Media Agreement to end the voice actors’ strike, which will now go to members for ratification.
If ratified, the agreement would deliver a 15.17% pay increase, with additional 3% raises in November 2025, 2026, and 2027.
It also boosts overtime rates for overscale performers and raises health and retirement contributions to 17% at ratification and 17.5% in October 2026.
New benefits
The new contract secures key protections on AI, requiring informed consent for various uses and allowing performers to suspend consent for Digital Replica use during strikes.
It also sets minimum pay rates for Digital Replica use, boosts pay for chatbot voice work and ensures extra payments when visual performances are reused in other games.
Moreover, it includes mandatory access to a medical professional during hazardous rehearsals or performances.
There is also a required rest period for on-camera principal performers and a ban on asking performers to do stunts or dangerous actions in virtual auditions.
The full terms of the three-year deal will be shared with ratification materials on June 18th, following the previous tentative agreement that ended the strike on June 11th.
Members have until July 9th, 2025 to vote on ratification.
