Saudi Arabia’s games market generated $1.19 billion in 2024 and is projected to reach $1.64bn by 2028.
Savvy Games Group's 2024 annual report, based on market data from Niko Partners, showed that the region is growing at an 8.2% CAGR, driven by steady gains across console (8.27%), mobile (7.29%), and PC (4.01%).
The MENA games market also earned $5.62bn in 2024 and is projected to reach $6.94bn by 2027 at a 7.3% CAGR, with Saudi Arabia driving growth as the region’s top market, generating $1.19bn in 2024 and home to over 25.8m gamers.
At the heart of this growth is Saudi Arabia’s National Gaming and Esports Strategy, part of Vision 2030, which aims to contribute $13.3 billion to the GDP and create nearly 39,000 jobs in the games and esports sector by 2030.
Business successes
In its annual report, Savvy named Scopely as the driver of its success in 2024 after it ended the year as the 8th games publisher globally.
The Scopely parent also highlighted Monopoly Go's $3 billion revenue milestone since its 2023 launch and was named Pocket Gamer’s Game of the Year at the Mobile Game Awards in 2024 and won Best Publisher in 2025.
Scopely also became the world’s second-highest-grossing mobile publisher, reaching $10bn in lifetime revenue, 15bn hours of playtime, and over 1bn downloads globally.

Steer Studios, another mobile subsidiary, expanded its operations and team in 2014, adding over 80 employees across 21 nationalities, with women comprising more than 25% of its workforce.
In terms of partnerships and MoUs, Savvy said collaborations are the direct result of the behind-the-scenes work being conducted every day to attract new businesses from around the world.
The wider industry
The global games industry's revenue is projected at over $187bn in 2024. Mobile leads with 49% of revenue, followed by console (28%) and PC (23%).
The report showed that sports remain one of the fastest-growing segments, with revenues projected to hit $1.9bn by 2025 and a global audience surpassing 640 million.
Through ESL Faceit Group (EFG), Savvy said it has reinforced its position as the global leader in competitive gaming, accounting for approximately 40% of the market.
