Habby’s roguelike tower defence game Wittle Defender has surpassed $10 million in gross player spending.

Wittle Defender launched globally on June 9th, 2025 and went on to generate $9.7m during its first month, according to AppMagic estimates.

The remainder of the figure has been reached when including marginal spending during the game's soft launch this spring in select regions on Android, as well as revenue in the days following its one-month anniversary.

The game’s total takeaways are likely higher than the $10m sum when including ad revenue, with Wittle Defender's rewarded ad system encouraging players to watch more for in-game rewards. Alternatively, players can subscribe for an ad-free experience.

Daily defence

Wittle Defender is part card game, part auto battler, with players required to employ various skills and tactics to overcome hordes of monsters.

In its final days of soft launch, daily player spending floated between $10,000 and $15,000. It generated approximately $15,000 on global launch day, June 9th, before accelerating more than 10 times over to $182,000 on June 10th.

Daily player spending increased further to $290,000 on June 11th and later peaked at $485,000 on the 15th. Spending stayed above $290,000 per day for the remainder of the month, but has fallen in July to a current low of $194,000 on the 8th.

Wittle Defender’s first month saw substantially less player spending than recent release Archero 2, which generated over $32m in its first 30 days globally. However, this is the sequel to hybridcasual hit and genre-definer Archero, which has earned almost $400m in player spending to date and thus already has an established audience.

Capybara Go marks another recent Habby success, having generated $100m three months on from its global launch.

Again, all these titles - Wittle Defender included - have likely generated more revenue when accounting for ads watched by players in-game. Estimates suggest Wittle Defender has achieved 3m installs thus far, predominantly in China, Taiwan and the US.
