X Dancery makes final of Nokia Calling All Innovators

Chinese firm Simlife's X Dancery mobile game has been named as one of 11 finalists in Nokia's Calling All Innovators contest.

The music game - which was also nominated for Nokia's recent Mobile Games Innovation Challenge - is designed for Series 60 5th Edition, using touchscreen and motion-sensing  controls.

Equally interestingly, though, it works by analysing MP3 music stored on the player's handset, and turning each tune into a "unique" tempo-based level.

It's no surprise to see it garlanded by Nokia - the company has made no secret that it would like to see this kind of title appearing on N-Gage.

However, the Calling All Innovators contest is about more than games - its mission is to highlight all manner of apps. X Dancery is in the Technology Showcase category.
