South Korean mobile game publisher Com2uS's hit mobile game Summoners War has generated lifetime revenues in the region of $780 million since its 2014 launch.
The last announced milestone for the RPG was $500 million, reported during the company's financials for Q1 2016 ending March 31st.
As part of an interview with PocketGamer.biz for our regular Live and Kicking series, Summoners War Lead Developer Min Young Jung told PocketGamer.biz that the game "has recorded 76 million downloads, earned cumulative revenue of approximately $780 million and notches about one million DAUs".
Strong third year
This means that Summoners War has generated an additional $280 million for Com2uS since March 31st 2016 - a significant haul for less than a year, and evidence that the now-mature game continues apace.
Elsewhere in the interview, Min Young Jung explained that there remain plenty of hands on deck for Summoners War, with the team growing from 12 people when the project began to nearly 50 now.
Com2uS has also just rolled out an updated which allows users from all over the world to "compete in a real-time PvP mode on a single server, without regional restrictions".
