Zynga partners with NetEase to launch Dawn of Titans in China

Zynga is partnering with publisher NetEase to bring its strategy game Dawn of Titans to China.

The NaturalMotion-developed title is expected to be released in the country later this year.

Dawn of Titans was launched in December 2016 after nearly two years in soft launch and long after the game was first announced.

Since then it’s been a steady performer, breaking into the App Store top 100 grossing in the UK and hovering just outside that in the US. The title has not been as successful in Asian countries such as Japan and South Korea, however.

A new dawn

“Zynga is proud to be partnering with NetEase to bring Dawn of Titans to players in China,” read a statement from Zynga, as reported by Venturebeat.

“We look forward to launching the game in China later this year and are excited to see how local action-strategy fans make the game their own.”

PocketGamer.biz previously spoke to then NaturalMotion CEO Torsten Reil about Dawn of Titans’ long development and soft launch period, and what the studio’s expectations were for the title.
