BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! English version racks up one million downloads

The English version of CyberAgent’s popular music rhythm game BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! has surpassed one million downloads.

The new version of the title was launched in April 2018 worldwide on the App Store and Google Play.

The localisation was led by the game’s co-developer Bushiroad.

To celebrate the milestone a series of in-game events are planned that will give players the chance to receive in-game currency and level four characters.

Big in Japan

BanG Dream! Girls Band Party!, based on the BanG Dream! Project series, has proven to be a popular game in its native Japan. It’s won a Player’s Choice Award on Google Play and was a “top game” on the App Store.

Hitting its first anniversary in March, the title is often highlighted by CyberAgent as a top performer in its financials.

At the time of writing the game is a top 10 grosser, according to App Annie, though regularly fluctuates is position around the top 50.
