DomiNations surpasses $100 million in revenues two years after first launching

Nexon and Big Huge Games' strategy title DomiNations has surpassed over $100 million in lifetime revenues as it celebrates its second birthday.

The game first launched on April 2nd 2015 in the West and August 26th 2015 in Asia. In that time it has amassed over 32 million players, 25 million of which are based in the West.

It is now placed alongside top franchises MapleStory and Dungeon & Fighter as one of Nexon's most successful games. Both of these titles have been around for a decade, making them much older than DomiNations.

Proof point

"Nexon games are well-established with millions of deeply engaged players in Asia," said Nexon President and CEO Owen Mahoney.

"The success of DomiNations in the US and Europe, is a proof point in our strategy for growing our business and engaging Western players with high quality games backed by a steady flow of new content."

Nexon acquired Big Huge Games back in March 2016 for an undisclosed sum. The developer and its game proved beneficial almost immediately, with Nexon pointing to it as a cause for the company's growth in South Korea in its Q2 FY16 financials.
