Fate/Grand Order rakes in over $2 billion in revenue worldwide

Sony's mobile RPG Fate/Grand Order has passed over $2 billion in worldwide revenue since its launch in August 2015.

The news comes on the tail of publisher Aniplex announcing overall sales had exceeded $1.8 billion last year.

According to Sensor Tower, revenue for the title surpassed $290 million worldwide in just the last quarter alone across both the App Store and Google Play.

Home crowd

The title has been a top 10 grossing game in Japan throughout its lifespan. An overwhelming 97 per cent of users have come from the game’s native audience.

Roughly 64 per cent of Fate/Grand Order’s revenue worldwide comes from IOS users, compared to Google Play’s 36 per cent.

Last month, Fate/Grand Order grossed more than $100 million across both platforms, ranking in third overall.
