Garena Free Fire has partnered with Netflix's Squid Game to celebrate its eighth anniversary.

Starting July 14th, Free Fire players worldwide can experience Squid Game challenges from the TV show, including the series’ iconic Red Light, Green Light game. Users can also wear signature outfits, use themed accessories and unlock iconic voicelines.

As part of the Free Fire x Squid Game crossover, US fans can join the Ddakji Master Challenge from July 16th to 27th in Dallas, Houston and Miami.

This challenge is inspired by the traditional Korean game, where participants can compete to flip the most tiles, with the top scorer winning a $4,560 cash prize.

The partnership comes as the final season of Squid Game launches on Netflix on June 27th.

Garena green light

“We are thrilled to partner with Netflix once again - this time to bring the globally beloved Squid Game into Free Fire in a way that resonates with our battle royale-loving community,” said Free Fire producer at Garena Harold Teo.

“By reimagining Squid Game’s mysterious games and unique elements, we hope to create unforgettable moments as we celebrate eight amazing years with our players.”

Elsewhere, Netflix's games library will remove over 20 mobile titles - about 20% of its library - on July 15th, 2025.

Notable games leaving include Monument Valley, Hades, Ludo King and recent releases like Carmen Sandiego and Monument Valley 3, which will soon appear on other platforms.
