Google Play's Indie Games Fund (IGF) is back in Latin America for its fourth year to support 10 indie game studios.

As in previous years, selected small game studios in Latin America will receive a portion of the $2 million fund, along with support from the Google Play team.

The program is open to indie developers who have launched a game on any platform. Selected studios will receive between $150,000 and $200,000 to grow their game.

This year's edition brings Google Play's total investment in the region to $8m.

Eligibility criteria

To be eligible, developers must be based in one of the listed Latin American countries (excluding Cuba) and have no more than 50 employees.

Applicants must be indie game developers with a high-quality, high-growth potential game already published on Google Play or another platform (PC, console, or mobile). If a third-party publisher publishes the game, additional requirements may apply.

Google said recipients must also commit to using the full funding to build or grow their game on Google Play, including potentially launching on Google Play Pass, and must submit detailed growth plans during the application process.
