Investment company Impact46 has invested over SAR 25 million ($6.7m) in five Saudi-based game developers.

The studios include Fahy Games, NJD, Game Cooks, Starvania, and Alpaka Games through its SAR 150m Gaming Fund which launched in March 2024.

The move adds to Impact46’s 2025 investments in Spoilz and Spekter Games, bringing its games portfolio to nine MENA studios.

This also aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and National Gaming and Esports Strategy, supported by national programmes and global initiatives to position the Kingdom as a regional games hub.

Backing builders

The studios showcase MENA’s growing creative and technical range, delivering culturally inspired mobile games to immersive console/PC titles and hybridcasual action experiences.

Fahy and NJD are focused on crafting mobile experiences while Starvania recently launched Bahamut and the WaqWaq Tree on PC. Spoilz is known for culture-connecting games and Alpaka develops next-gen hybrid-casual action titles.

Lebanon’s award-winning Game Cooks, now Riyadh-based, brings VR, mobile, and PC games tailored for local and global audiences, while Spekter Games is a next-gen publisher merging Web2 and Web3 at scale.

“We see gaming as more than a sector; it’s a language of youth, culture, and creation,” said Impact46 managing partner Basmah Alsinaidi.

“Through these investments, we’re backing builders who aren’t just launching games but creating the infrastructure, stories, and platforms that define the next era of content in the region.”
