Krafton expands Dark and Darker Mobile soft launch to the US

PUBG publisher Krafton is expanding the soft launch for Dark and Darker Mobile. 

The title was originally set to soft launch in Canada on Tuesday, February 4th 2025, but will now also soft-launch in the United States on the same date. 

Krafton said that the decision to expand the game's soft-launch phase is due to feedback from North American players eager to play the upcoming fantasy RPG. 

Dark And Darker Mobile is described as a medieval dark fantasy extraction RPG set in perilous dungeons. Players can blend “elements from various genres, including the survival mechanics of battle royale, the escape dynamics of dungeon crawlers, and the immersive gameplay of fantasy RPGs."

Road to global launch 

“We are thrilled to expand our soft launch beyond Canada and bring Dark and Darker Mobile to even more players across North America,” said Bluehole Studio executive producer Joonseok Ahn. 

“The strong enthusiasm from the community encouraged us to accelerate our plans, and we look forward to gathering more feedback as we prepare for the global release.” 

The game first gained traction in 2024 through global tests and a showcase at Gamescom and is evolving with community feedback, focusing on gameplay improvements, content expansion, and mobile optimisation ahead of its global launch later this year.
