EA generated almost $7.5 billion in net revenue during its 2025 fiscal year, ended March 31st, 2025.

This marked a 1% decline from its 2024 fiscal year when net revenue was closer to $7.6bn.

Mobile contributed $1.1bn to EA’s 2025 net revenue figure, equating to 15% of the total sum.

While gross profit increased by 1% in EA’s latest fiscal year to more than $5.9bn, operating expenses also increased by nearly 2%, hitting $4.4bn.

Net income also fell year-over-year, down 12% to $1.1bn.

Sports, mobile and web shops

Despite the declines, EA achieved record net bookings across its catalogue in the latest fiscal year, nearing $7.4bn. Its American Football series accounted for over $1bn.

The company has declared this "another record year" for EA Sports, therefore, driven by College Football and FC games. FC Mobile specifically continued to exceed expectations, with new player acquisition and daily active users up more than 20% YoY.

EA chairman and CEO Andrew Wilson attributed this to a focus on hyperculturalisation and a successful Team of the Year programme. He also noted that a webstore launch brought "more meaningful net bookings" to the title.

FC Mobile saw double-digit growth in net bookings overall, of which the webstore accounted for a mid-single-digit percentage.

"FC Mobile remains a key strategic initiative to grow the reach of our Global Football franchise. A great demonstration of how we're growing our audience through FC Mobile is the fact that the four largest mobile markets, including territories across the Middle East and Southeast Asia, are different from our four largest HD markets," Wilson added.

Ending on a high

The Sims also had a "historic" end to the fiscal year with double digit growth in Q4, having celebrated its 25th anniversary on February 4th.

And overall, EA’s net revenue, gross profit and net income all saw YoY increases in the fourth quarter. Though, net revenue on mobile specifically saw a decline of 7% YoY, down to $287 million in Q4.

Mobile’s contribution remained smaller than PC or console in the quarter and the year overall.

"FY25 was a year of focused execution, as we prioritised our highest-impact initiatives and continued realigning our investments around our long-term growth framework," said EA CFO Stuart Canfield.

"That focus was particularly evident in our fourth quarter, where we saw accelerating momentum heading into FY26."

Entering the new fiscal year, EA has already cancelled two projects at Apex Legends developer Respawn Entertainment and reportedly laid off hundreds of employees.
