AI agent maker Nunu.ai has raised $6 million in a seed round to boost AI-powered game testing.
The company said that its vision extends beyond games and it will use the funds to hire new talents and expand its infrastructure as it aims to become a leader in video game QA automation.
The platform specialises in “AI agents designed to control any body and perform any task in any environment”.
The seed round was co-led by a16z speedrun and TIRTA Ventures with participation from Y Combinator and other investors. This brings Nunu.ai's total funding to $8m after a $2m pre-seed round in 2024.
Automating tasks
Nunu.ai was founded in 2022 by Nicolas Muntwyler, Kyrill Hux, and Jan Schnyder, who met in 2017 at ETH Zurich and collaborated on projects that led to the creation of the company.
Nuru.ai said its platform will help developers with QA testing, with plans to expand beyond virtual environments into real-world applications.
“We will leverage this funding to recruit top talent, expand nunu.ai’s infrastructure, and cement our position as a leader in video game QA automation," said Nuru.ai co-founder Kyrill Hux.
Co-founder Nicolas Muntwyler commented: “Our goal is to 10x QA engineers by automating the boring and tedious testing tasks, freeing them up to do more valuable ad-hoc testing."
Co-founder Jan Schnyder also commented, “We believe the pathway to embodied AI goes through gaming.”
