Samsung has expanded its mobile cloud gaming platform to Europe, allowing Galaxy users to play mobile games without downloads or installations.

The tech giant has also begun a beta rollout of its cloud gaming platform in the UK and Germany, offering a phased launch with access to a growing catalogue of mobile titles.

Samsung recently updated its Galaxy Store terms with an 80/20 revenue share model, including games on its cloud platform, giving developers more resources to scale while attracting new partners.

Later this year, the company plans to redesign its mobile games hub as the central destination for gaming on Galaxy devices and has promised to launch new discovery features later this year.

Cloud-first offering

Samsung said its cloud gaming expansion into Europe, combined with innovations across its mobile gaming hub and an 80/20 revenue share model, will help developers grow through direct distribution on Galaxy devices.

“Nearly a year ago, Samsung officially commercialised our mobile cloud gaming platform in North America, and since then, it has quickly become a preferred distribution channel for our partners to reach millions of Galaxy device owners,” said Samsung Electronics EVP of the service business team, mobile experience Seline Sangsook Han.

“With cloud-first features that allow players to instantly jump into games and smarter discovery tools, we’re helping games and services reach new audiences, boost engagement, and improve retention. Now we’re expanding that access to Europe.”
