Supercell has made its latest title Mo.co available to all players worldwide.

The game was launched on March 18th but was only accessible to players through an invite, a restriction that’s now been removed.

Despite being available to all players, Supercell is keeping expectations light.

“That’s right, mo.co is now officially open for everyone to play, you don’t need to receive an invite,” read a statement from Supercell.

“HOWEVER… this doesn’t mean it’s our GLOOOOOBALLLL!!! moment or that suddenly you’ll see Luna, Jax, and Manny chilling on the mega screens in Shibuya.

“The team is still going lowkey with marketing and focused on building the game the right way. So keep an eye out for some of the startup’s scrappy recruitment efforts and in the meantime, get out there and hunt those Chaos Monsters.”

Revenue estimates

According to AppMagic estimates, Mo.co has generated $3.9 million in gross player spending across the App Store and Google Play to date through platform-owned payment methods. June marked its lowest month for revenue at $350k.

In its first week, Sensor Tower estimates showed the title had accumulated approximately $570,000.

At the time, Sensor Tower gaming insights analyst Sam Aune said the title’s launch was “decidedly more conservative” than Squad Busters by using the invite-only model.

"Mo.co's revenue per download looks low compared to Squad Busters and other midcore games, which I attribute to its cosmetics focused monetisation,” said Aune.

“While this is a bit of a slow start, Supercell does run three of the biggest games in the world by average MAU in 2024 (Brawl Stars, Clash of Clans, and Clash Royale) and were able to rework Brawl Stars into its current success years after release.

"They have a track record of building games that retain large player bases with best in class gameplay and optimising monetisation over time. Still, its urban fantasy style lacks the universal appeal of the standard Supercell style.

"I associate it with Eastern, younger focused games like Lillith's Dislyte or miHoYo's Zenless Zone Zero. Building up the same level of MAU as their other games may prove a challenge for a game like Mo.co that seems to be targeting a more specific demographic."
