Brawl Stars developer Supercell has stepped up its investment arm with a new website and push to fund games companies.

Supercell Investments aims to back studios at early stage and later, funding development teams across platforms, as well as those working on tech.

The firm said it offers early funding and growth capital, operational independence, and brings industry expertise and a community of more than 1,000 professionals and partners.

It’s calling on companies looking for funding to reach out directly about potential partnerships.

The developer’s previous investments include Applivery, Appcharge, Bitmagic, Future Run, Metacore and more.

"Paying it forward"

“We’ve been searching for exceptional game developers, fully formed or nearly so, in any geographical location, whom we trust,” read a statement. “Teams with high ambition, the skills to execute, and a relentless drive to create great games.

“Through investments, we’ve paved a way to provide these teams with the backing they need while respecting their independence to make the games they believe in. Added bonus: they didn’t have to uproot themselves or give up the strong company identities they hold dear.

“Our own history has taught us the value of trust and autonomy, thanks to the support we received from our investors—from a range of VCs and individuals in the early days to Softbank and, more recently, Tencent.

“Now, we’re paying it forward, helping more teams create games that are played for years and remembered forever.”
