Mobile games publisher Tilting Point has launched a $150 million user acquisition fund to help developers scale their apps and games.
Tilting Point said that its intention with the fund is to offer teams financial support for growth without the constraints of traditional publishing.
Supported developers will retain “full autonomy" over their marketing strategies, with Tilting Point only assisting in UA campaigns upon request.
This marks Tilting Point’s third multi-million-dollar fund, following previous initiatives in 2016 and 2018. Early recipients include Mythical Games, Begin, and an upcoming web-based games hub.
Supporting developers
“We know from our proven success with more than 200 games, how important our UA funds have been for developers," said Tilting Point CEO Kevin Segalla.
"It’s a strong tool for developers looking to scale efficiently while allowing them to strategically utilise their available cash on other priorities.
“We are thrilled to be back where we belong, in this sector that we pioneered helping developers maximise growth without sacrificing equity, which we recognise as their most valuable asset.”
Tilting Point chief business officer Asi Burak commented: “We were the first ever to build a UA fund like this, and its success then and now hinges on what we know is the secret sauce: truly unlimited and flexible spending, combined with the full control developers have over how much involvement they want from Tilting Point.
“Investing in promising games has always been a key driver of our growth, and it’s how we’ve built some of our strongest partnerships.”
