Konami's PES 2018 and Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links drive revenues up to $1.64 billion

Konami has released its financials for its Q3 FY18 for the nine months ending December 31st 2017.

The company posted revenues of $1.64 billion for the period, up 9% year-on-year. Overall profits also grew by 26% year-on-year, up to $238.8 million.

Breaking this down further, its Digital Entertainment segment generated $821.2 million in revenue for the period, up 21.7% year-on-year. Segment profit grew to $272.5 million, up 21.9% year-on-year.

It's all kicking off

Key performers on mobile for Konami were PES Card Collection and PES 2018. The latter title has now surpassed 80 million downloads, and received a major update.

Jikkyou Pawafuru Puroyakyu and Professional Baseball Spirits A continued to see solid performances in Japan. In the rest of the world, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links and PES Club Manager also performed well.

Duel Links surpassed 60 million downloads back in December 2017. Over 9.5 billion Duels have been played and 1.1 billion card packs opened in its first year of global release.
