Atari has partnered with LGBT Media to help grow its game Pridefest within the LGBTQ community.

LGBT Media will acquire Pridefest as part of the partnership, allowing it to rebrand and relaunch the game. It will also be expanding on the existing game, particularly its social elements.

The media firm is the creator of LGBTQutie, a social app specifically for the LGBTQ community. It can be used to find friends and for dating, and can also be used to organise social events.

Extensive expertise

"When meeting the co-founders of LGBTQutie, Rachel Kimelman and Jordan Weiss, it became clear that the team's extensive expertise and relationships within the LGBTQ community would benefit Pridefest," said Fred Chesnais, CEO of Atari.

"We knew that joining forces with LGBTQutie was the best course of action to further develop and grow the game."

Pridefest was due for launch in late 2014, but its release date eventually slipped to September 2015. It hasn't been updated by Atari since August 2016.
